Terragen 2
I have been messing around with Terragen for years now, and have been anxiously awaiting the release of Terragen 2. I have played with the tech preview a bit and like what will be coming. As a meteorologist i didn’t like how restricted you were with the clouds in the first terragen, terragen2 takes it to a whole new level though with 3D volumetric clouds. Although I haven’t made anything spectacular I have fun doing it and it is a nice change of desktop wallpapers for a bit.
It is very powerful software (and free for non-commercial use) for making realistic landscapes. Don’t let me pictures turn you away, check out the gallery they have on the site.
